Pre-departure
After our graduation ceremony, a few friends and I escaped off to Terengganu.
It was mainly to visit our fried Yu Hao’s hometown.
We took the bus.
Flood Season
We went during the month with peak rainfall there and thus experienced flooding. (source: https://weatherandclimate.com/malaysia/terengganu) 
An experienced local was our driver for the day. Many petrol stations were empty as petrol supply is scarce in moments of uncertain weather. 
Windy beaches; we did not linger long.
Dry areas
Prices are cheaper in Terengganu. 
The population density is much lower too, so streets are wide and often found empty.

On our last day, we took the flight back to Kuala Lumpur then to Penang as the risk of flood has shut down all bus routes (and transportation by land).
